Gas prices fluctuate all the time and finding the cheapest option isn’t always easy. However, there are a variety of apps for cheap gas. Most of the options rely on crowdsourcing for information. Other drivers report the gas prices and you simply choose the one with the cheapest gas. Of course, you can report gas prices yourself to help out other drivers as well. In short, it’s a group effort. In any case, there aren’t a ton of options here so your selections are pretty limited. Here are the best cheap gas finder apps for Android.

Drivvo

Price: Free / Up to $6.00

Drivvo is a driving app with a neat premise. It keeps track of various things like your gas mileage, overall mileage, and the ability to track money spent at the gas pump. The app is mostly for business use, but it is also useful for personal use. You can find the cheapest gas stations in the area to save a few bucks and log all of your various fuel data to see how much gas mileage your car actually gets. The pro version adds cloud backup support, removes advertising, and cross-device syncing. It’s not a bad cheap gas finder.

Fuelio

Price: Free

Fuelio works a lot like Drivvo above. The app keeps track of various driving metrics, including gas mileage, overall mileage, and how much gas costs you. It also keeps track of multiple vehicles, includes a travel GPS log, and you can backup your data to Dropbox or Google Drive if you want to. The app became completely free after Sygic acquired the company a while back. This makes it a great option for finding cheap gas and keeping track of your driving stats on a budget.

GasBuddy

Price: Free (with ads)

GasBuddy is one of the most popular cheap gas finder apps for Android. The app is all about finding gas savings. It uses crowd sourcing to keep gas prices up to date, a difficult task considering how often prices change. It also supports multiple types of fuel and it encourages its community to help out with things like achievements. GasBuddy does play it fast and loose with its user data. Thus, if privacy concerns you, you may want to skip this one. It’s too bad, though, because the app actually does work quite well.

Waze

Price: Free

Waze is one of the best GPS apps for Android. It also shows you gas prices at nearby gas stations. You have to search for it manually, but the information is, in fact, there. On top of that, it adds some of the best navigation features of any GPS apps we know about. Plus, its revolving door of guest navigation voice actors is fresh and fun. This is an excellent all-in-one solution for cheap gas finder apps as well as GPS apps. It even works with Android Auto much like Google Maps. Speaking of Google Maps, it also finds gas prices much the same way Waze does. You can use either one, honestly.

Your country’s gas finder apps

Price: Free

Many of the apps above only work in the US and that makes sense. Most of our readers are from there. However, many countries have decent options for cheap gas finder apps as well. For instance, GasAll helps you surf gas prices in Spain while fuelService (linked at the button below) works in the UK. Apps for various countries have varying features. We weren’t able to find all of these options since some of them are restricted by region. Search the Play Store and see if you can find one specifically for your region.
