TL;DR
  • The Baseus PrimeSentinel U2 Pro is now up for grabs in the US, after being showcased during IFA 2026 in September.
  • This security camera uses two separate 3K cameras, with one fixed at the top and the other with a spotlight and motor for easy tracking and movement.
  • The U2 Pro can track intruders as they move and even track cars going at up to 19 mph.

We saw a handful of cool innovations from multiple brands during last month’s IFA 2026. Prominent among them was Baseus, which unveiled the PrimeSentinel U2 Pro security camera with spotlight, featuring a motor that detects and illuminates the subject, even as they move. This unique outdoor security camera is now available in the US.

The U2 Pro features a 3K camera at the top with a 130-degree field of view and 8x digital zoom. Below it is another 3K camera and floodlight with pan-and-tilt functions, thanks to the built-in motor (via TheVerge). The camera at the top has a fixed focus,  making it ideal for everyday security, but the second unit at the bottom is where all the magic happens.

Among its features is its ability to track people from three to eight meters away, and it can also track vehicles at up to 19 mph. The onboard motor reportedly moves at six feet per second.

Floodlight-equipped outdoor security cameras currently on the market offer a standard feature set, including motion detection and area illumination. The U2 Pro takes a different approach, casting a rectangle-shaped light when it detects a person in its view.

It tracks people using two passive infrared (PIR) sensors and AI-based recognition. The idea is that a spotlight that moves with the person would deter intruders better than one that simply illuminates a fixed area with bright light.

This outdoor security camera includes a (detachable) 3W solar panel, which Baseus says can help the camera’s 7,800mAh battery last up to a day with just 40 minutes of sunlight. It also offers two-way talk via the microphone and speaker, plus a built-in siren and color night vision. Baseus says the security camera is IP65 certified for dust and water resistance.

What’s also interesting is that the company doesn’t offer a cloud storage subscription service like most brands do, though the U2 Pro supports microSD cards up to 512GB. Baseus claims recordings stay private thanks to AES + RSA encryption.

You can get the Baseus U2 Pro on Amazon right now for $279.99. That price tag makes it an appealing option amid a sea of floodlight-equipped smart home cameras.
