AT&T LG V20 pre-orders go live, but it will cost you $830
AT&T has kicked off its LG V20 pre-orders nice and early this morning, so eager US customers can go and grab the phone right now. In its earlier pre-order announcement, AT&T revealed that the price of the new handset is set at a massive $830. Although the carrier does have a number of plan options available.
This price tag certainly makes the LG V20 one of the most expensive smartphones on the market right now, besting the controversial Pixel XL price point, topping the Galaxy S7 edge, and and almost costing as much as the iPhone 7 Plus from the carrier.
To soften a blow a little, the handset can be paid for over a 30 month plan at a cost of $27.67 each month. AT&T is also offering $695 worth of monthly bill credits to DIRECTV and UVerse subscribers that switch from another carrier to a Next plan. There’s also a LG G Pad X 10.1 tablet on offer for just $0.99 if you sign up to a two year agreement and buy the V20 through Next.
For all that money, the LG V20 does pack in quite a lot of hardware. There’s the 5.7-inch QHD display accompanied by a secondary ticker panel, a fingerprint scanner, and a USB Type-C port while retaining the 3.5mm audio jack. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM, a dual 16/8MP rear camera combo, a 32-bit DAC, and an aluminium body.

AT&T will begin shipping out its LG V20 stock between October 24th and 27th, while T-Mobile has previously stated that it will ship the phone to pre-order customers on October 28th. AT&T seems like the better choice if you really want the phone fast, but it might be best to wait and see if T-Mobile can beat AT&T’s extraordinary price point.
