Update (02/19): A hands-on image allegedly showing the ZenFone 5 has leaked ahead of its likely reveal at MWC 2018. The photo shows a device with an 18:9 aspect ratio display with an iPhone X-style notch housing a front camera and speaker.

A volume rocker and power button can also be spotted on the right side of the device, but the main takeaway here is how much the pictured phone looks like Apple’s premium flagship.

Original story (02/12): The rumored ASUS ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 5 Lite have been leaked, along with some press renders and specs details. The information arrived via @evleaks and @rquandt (of WinFuture.de) last week, so it’s likely to be accurate.

The ZenFone 5 Lite is set to come with an 18:9 display (probably between 5.5-6 inches) with FHD+ resolution, though the chipset and RAM it would include wasn’t speculated upon.

We did get some details regarding the cameras, though: the handset is tipped to house dual front- and rear-facing cameras, coming in at 20 MP + 20 MP and 16 MP + 16 MP respectively.

We also got a look at three color variants of the device: Midnight Black, Moonlight White, Rouge Red.

The ZenFone 5 is also rumored to be rocking an 18:9 display with FHD+ resolution, but it may be the better optimized, as it appears to run right up to the top of the device with an iPhone X-like cutout for the speaker and front camera.

Unlike the Lite model, this seems to include only a single front-facing camera, though a dual camera system will still be in place on the rear. Other details include USB Type-C connectivity (the Lite model features microUSB), dual-SIM support and the inclusion of a headphone jack.

We’ve previously encountered leaks about the ZenFone 5 Max also; given the timing, it’s looking likely that this series will be unveiled at MWC 2018.
