TL;DR
  • The ASUS ROG Phone 5S Pro is now available in the United States, alongside its vanilla counterpart.
  • The base-level phone starts at $1,099, with the Pro model going for $1,299.
  • Quantities of the devices are likely limited thanks to the global chip shortage.

If you want a gaming phone, the ROG Phone series has some of the best on the market. This year, ASUS slightly upgraded the ROG Phone 5 by adding in the Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset and heightening the touch response rate.

Our review: ASUS ROG Phone 5

Unfortunately, the ASUS ROG Phone 5S and ASUS ROG Phone 5S Pro have been hard to get even in the few countries in which they are available. They also haven’t been available in the United States, at least not until now.

Today, in the US, you can head to Amazon to buy either of the phones. The ROG Phone 5S with 16GB of RAM is available for $1,099. It comes in either black or white. Meanwhile, the ASUS ROG Phone 5S Pro with 18GB of RAM will cost you $1,299, and it only comes in black.

Judging from how sales of these phones have been in other countries, this product won’t last long. The global chip shortage is likely making it difficult for ASUS to keep the phones in stock. In other words, if you want one of these phones, don’t put it off: grab it as soon as you can.
