Google Pixel 3 vs Pixel 4 camera design

Are you a fan of the Google Pixel 4’s new ASTRO mode? Do you have a Pixel 3 device or older? Well, you are in luck! It looks like ASTRO mode has been ported to other Pixel devices.

According to XDA Developers, older Pixel owners might not need to upgrade their devices to get one of the Pixel 4’s coolest new features. A modified Google Camera version 7.2 brings the ASTROphotography mode as well as the Super Res Zoom feature to previous Pixel devices.

The modified APK was tested on a Pixel 2, but the app should be universally compatible across the entire Pixel line. Users will also get focus options in Night Sight, enhanced Portrait Mode, a selfie auto timer feature, and more.

Google Camera ports are typically developed for Pixel devices before other Android handsets. This latest Google Camera 7.2 port is no different. The APK will only work on Pixel devices, but XDA says the port could be available for your device soon, though there are no guarantees.
