Front door cameras are a great fit for anyone who wants to keep a closer eye on deliveries, visitors, and late-night motion around the porch. There’s a nice deal on one right now too, with the Arlo Video Doorbell 2K (2nd Gen) down to $49.99 at Amazon.

That price is 38% off the $79.99 recommended retail price, which saves you $30. For anyone setting up a smarter front door without spending a lot, that makes this a very appealing pick.

The Arlo Video Doorbell 2K is built to give you a clearer view of what is happening outside your door. It records in 2K square video at 1944 x 1944 resolution, designed to show a head-to-toe view so you can see both visitors and packages. It also has a 180° field of view, HDR, night vision, and an integrated spotlight to help in lower light.

One of the big draws here is that it can work either wirelessly with its rechargeable battery or through existing doorbell wiring for continuous trickle charging and chime support. That gives you more options depending on your home setup. You also get full-duplex two-way talk, dual microphones, voicemail, and pre-recorded quick replies, so it can handle more than just live video.

Arlo also includes motion alerts, an integrated siren, and support for Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT. The doorbell connects via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, making it a solid option for people who want smarter front-door coverage at a strong discount.
