Learn how to draw comic book heroes with this new app from Marvel artist Will Sliney

If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to become a professional comic book artist, a just released app in the Google Play Store might be able to help you out. It’s called, rather simply, Learn How To Draw, and it contains hundreds of tutorials on how to do just that. This app is from Will Sliney, an Irish artist who has drawn extensively for Marvel Comics, including many of the company’s Spider-Man titles.

If you are just starting on your road to becoming the next comic book art superstar, Learn How To Draw has a series of Level 1 tutorials that  teach how to create simple shapes that are the basis for creating human figures. The Level 2 tutorials move on from those shapes and teach artists the anatomy of those figures and how the shapes work together. Finally, the advanced Level 3 lessons get even more detailed, with teaching how to draw  individual muscles on those figure, along with the sculptural planes they make.

New lessons and content will be released as updates to the app every Monday, so there should be any complaints about a lack of tutorials. There’s plenty of great content in this app so far, and guides on how to draw superhero poses and female heroic figures should be added soon.
