Nov 4, 2026 — 3:09 PM ET

- Google’s latest bleeding-edge testing track release is now available.
- Firmware images have landed on Google’s servers for Pixel 6a and newer devices.
- Googles Mishaal Rahman is already sharing some of the changes to look forward to.
November has landed with a bang. Already we’ve left daylight savings time behind us, and the US just wrapped up a big election. We’re only a few days into the month, but things aren’t slowing down now, and Google’s keeping that momentum going with its latest Android Canary release.
Over on Telegram, our beloved Pixel Factory Images Tracker channel is cataloging the new firmware images showing up on Google’s servers. We’ve also spotted Google’s announcement on the Android Canary subreddit.
Last month, we were over a week into October before Android Canary 2610 debuted, so it’s nice to see Google getting right down to business, so early in.
On X, Google’s Mishaal Rahman is helpfully sharing some of the changes arriving in today’s release:
- 🔒 App lock is back
- 🫧 New shortcut to launch apps in bubbles from recents screen
- 📸 New Quick Settings tile to launch Camera
- 🕘 AM/PM suffix shown for alarms on the At a Glance widget on the lock screen
Those may sound familiar to you, because as he points out, these are some of the same changes that landed already in Android 17 QPR3 Beta 3.
Just like we’d expect, we’re seeing Canary 2611 images available for devices from the Pixel 6a, up through this year’s Pixel 11 family. You can grab the firmware for your device through the Telegram link above, but your easiest option is probably heading over to Google’s online Android flashing tool and using that to install Canary on your handset.
Once your Pixel is running Canary, it will automatically update to each month’s new release as they arrive. Before you flash this or any Android build, just make sure that you’ve backed up all important data on your device.
