Alcatel OneTouch has today released its Pixi 3 (4) affordable smartphone in the UK at a cost of just £34.99. The Pixi 3 was announced in January this year and offers Android in an ultra-affordable smartphone, which will be available to buy on Pay As You Go from O2 stores nationwide.

The 4 inch WVGA display offers 800 x 480 pixels resolution at 233 ppi density with 2 points multi-touch and gesture support. It runs on Android KitKat 4.4 – with a planned upgrade to Android Lollipop – and is powered by a dual-core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.0GHz, which is coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB internal storage; however, you only get 1.8GB of this so you’ll definitely want to expand it using a microSD card.

On the back, the Pixi 3 features a 2MP camera with LED flash, HDR and 720p HD video recording. Under the hood, the OneTouch Pixi 3 comes equipped with an FM Radio, Wi-Fi n, Bluetooth v4.0 and integrated GPS. The removable back cover gives you access to the 1400mAh battery that Alcatel OneTouch claim offers up to 350 hours standby and 8 hours talk-time over 3G.

The Pixi 3 is available to buy from O2 and you’ll need to pick a Pay & Go tariff to go with the handset. There’s a range of bundles to choose from, offering everything from inclusive minutes and data to international calls. You can buy the Pixi 3 here.
