The unannounced Sony F8331 - what many believe to be the Xperia X Performance 2 - has been put up for sale on a Croatian website similar to Craigslist.

Sony Xperia X Performance 2 teaser

It looks like Sony is indeed gearing up to drop a second flagship this year and we’ve just seen our second glimpse of the new F8331 in the wild. While we first saw the F8331 a week ago, at least one sneaky person has decided they wanted to get the drop on Sony’s likely IFA 2016 unveiling – and make a quick buck while they’re at it. Not only were two new photos leaked, they were shared on a Croatian website akin to Craigslist.

The phone is listed as a “new model” of the Sony Xperia X Performance for 3,500 Kuna (~$515/467) and was promptly pulled down. Whether it was sold or because Sony’s lawyers got in touch, we may never know. Whether they can be believed or not, several specs were also listed, and the offer included a charger and headphones. How nice.

The Sony F8331 specs in the listing included a 5.1-inch screen, 3 GB of RAM, 23 MP/12 MP camera combo and metal housing. The previous leak claimed the F8331 display would be larger than the current X Performance (which is 5.0 inches) and have Full HD resolution. The previous photos also revealed a USB Type-C port, 3.5 mm headphone port, elongated fingerprint scanner and 2.5D curved glass on the front.

This new leak certainly seems to confirm the new design of the device – complete with plastic antenna window on the bottom at the back. It’s also the second time we’ve seen the F8331 described as a successor to the X Performance and not the Xperia Z6. It doesn’t look to be from the same leaker (as far as my sophisticated hand analysis goes), so we may well be seeing more leaks like this in the weeks to come.
