oneplus 2 review aa (28 of 38)

OnePlus has announced free standard shipping on all orders exceeding $100 from oneplus.net. Priority shipping will also be offered at a reduced price. As the company notes in a blog post, “a change of this size will naturally have a negative impact on our bottom-line. However, if we’re to survive in this blink-and-you’ll-miss-it business we need to be able to offer our users the level of service they’ve come to expect when shopping online.”

OnePlus already operates on a razor-thin profit margin, so providing free standard shipping across the board will cost a pretty penny. But, as mentioned above, free shipping is an expectation these days that borders on an entitlement. As long as the shipping service is reliable and timely, this could be a wise move.

The order thresholds for various currencies are as follows:

  • CAD: 150
  • EUR: 100
  • CZK: 2500
  • DKK: 700
  • HUF: 30000
  • PLN: 400
  • SEK: 850
  • GBP: 60
  • HKD: 800

OnePlus fans in India will also eligible, but all delivery and promo offers are handled by Amazon.in (which already shows free delivery). Keep an eye out on the OnePlus India blog for further announcements.

Do you think free shipping should exist for all online purchases? How much are you happy to pay?
