Moto X Pure gets three limited time back choices in time for the holidays

by: Andrew GrushNovember 18, 2015

Motorola is no stranger to creating “special edition” customization options with the Moto Maker, with one example being the limited time football leather that was introduced to the Moto X (2nd gen) last November. This time around, Motorola is teaming up with well-known designer Jonathan Adler to give Moto X Pure Edition fans three unique options just in time for the holiday season.

As you can see in the picture above, these are certainly different than your typical Moto Maker backings. One thing is for sure, if you are looking to stand out from the crowd, these new designs certainly do the trick. Whether that’s a good or bad thing probably comes down to personal taste, but it’s always nice to have more options.

The three new backs are exclusive options for the 32GB Limited Edition Moto X Pure, which will go on pre-order November 24th. The limited edition Pure will be available starting December 3rd and will be priced at $475. Breaking it further down, that’s the same price as you’d pay for a 32GB Moto X Pure with a leather or wood back.

What do you think of the new backs? If you aren’t a fan, what’s your favorite back choice for the Moto X Pure Edition? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Wish they had those other options before l got mine. Oh well it doesn’t matter, as I’m returning my Moto X Pure and getting the Nexus 6P

    • Lefty Guerrilla

Why would you swap for the N6P? Is there something it has that the Pure doesn’t? Just wondering. I have the Pure and am quite pleased. Best regards,

I honestly think the Moto X is a great device, however I’m returning mine because I think it’s defective. When I was trying to create my launch phrase to use Moto voice I had an extremely hard time. It kept telling me there was too much noise in the room when l was in quiet places. I had to keep repeating myself at least 50 times before it finally accepted my voice (it was really frustrating). And when l try to make a different launch phrase it is behaving the same way… This definitely SHOULDN’T be happening on a brand new phone.

I decided to get the Nexus 6P because overall it’s a much better device than the Moto X based on all the reviews and what I’ve researched do far. However I wouldn’t discourage you from the Moto X, for I still think it is a wonderful phone.

Oh I’m definitely sticking with the Moto X. I’ve had three Moto devices and loved them all. Maybe you had a dud with the voice recognition. Mine works quite well. I’m not convinced that the Nexus is any better, especially considering the price, but I would like to know how your experience goes. I’m a fan of devices that run as close to stock Android as possible. I had a Zenfone 2 and it could have been great, except for all the bloat!

          • Chauntella Stephanie Brown

Yea the voice recognition is definitely defective, I’ve also recognised a few other faulty stuff. I absolutely love the stock android experience l get on the Pure, but I’m just not comfortable with the defectiveness I’ve experienced especially since I haven’t even had it for not even 2 weeks yet. It has been quite disappointing. I’m coming from a Samsung Galaxy Avant which was mid-range and quite good but much too slow and laggy. Stock android had been great for me. So much FASTER.

They should spend more time on Marshmallow support and less time on limited time backs…

    • ArÏsh AkĦtar

they are rolling it out… by November everyone should be getting it

      • Chauntella Stephanie Brown

        It’s ALREADY November..

*By the *end of November as said by the company!

Till I saw the draft which was of 8135 dollars, I accept that my friend’s brother was like really generating cash in his free time with his pc. . His aunt’s neighbor has done this for only 9 months and by now repaid the loan on their home and bought a new Car .Look here for details …lom

Different departments within Motorola… I don’t think they are putting more importance on one or the other. They’re completely different.

Motorola must think only little teenage girls buy their phones.

    And they all look

I love the X Pure. I was worrying about quality, and performance when I was checking it out. Come to find out, that software performance blows any Galaxy device I had. I wish I had made the switch to stock Android couple years back.
