Microsoft Exchange support rolling out for all versions of Gmail

Historically, Microsoft Exchange support on Gmail has been pretty spotty. The integration worked fine on some devices but not on others, leading to frustration on the part of many Android device owners who had to resort to using two apps to manage their work and personal email separately. Now the days of Exchange and Gmail not playing nice together are coming to a close.

The change was announced by the devs of the popular Google email client over Twitter this afternoon. The app has supported the ability to handle a wide variety of different email services for over a year now, so this change closes a long-felt hole in the app. If you’re not seeing the change yet, you might have to wait around for a little while. Google is rolling out the update to devices, but it might take them some time to get to everyone.

In the meantime, let us know what you think of this change to the email service you probably use on a daily basis. Will Microsoft Exchange support will affect you in particular, or will this update pass you by without you even noticing? Let us know your response in the comments below, and as always, stay tuned to Android Authority to keep updated with all the changes coming to the services that you use on a daily basis!
