Micromax launches Vdeo range of budget VoLTE smartphones pre-bundled with Reliance Jio SIM

Micromax Informatics, India’s leading domestic handset maker, has partnered with Google to launch a new series of affordable smartphones with 4G VoLTE support – Vdeo – to popularize video calling.

The two smartphones – Vdeo 1 and Vdeo 2 – come preloaded with Google Duo app and come bundled with Reliance Jio SIM with three months of unlimited free data and voice calling.

Micromax Vdeo 1 is priced at ₹4,440 ($66) while the Vdeo 2 is priced at ₹4,990 ($74). The Vdeo range is aimed to power the next phase of smartphone adoption in the country by hand-holding consumers to upgrade to smartphones. Micromax has shared that in the coming months, the company will be extending the Vdeo range with the introduction of Vdeo 3 and Vdeo 4.
