Indian customers will soon be able to select from another smartphone as Lenovo is set to launch its newly announced Vibe K5 Plus later today. The device, which made its debut at Mobile World Congress last month along with the standard Vibe K5, features some solid specs for a price that won’t break the bank.

The 4G smartphone comes with a 5-inch IPS LCD Full HD display, an Octa-Core Snapdragon 616 SoC with Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of on-board storage. The front of the device is equipped with a 5-megapixel front camera, and the rear has a 13-megapixel offering. The phone has support for Dual SIM functionality and includes a 2750mAh battery and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop. It will be sold in Silver, Grey, and Gold color variants and is expected to retail for under Rs. 10,000 when it hits India.

For reference the product launched in Barcelona with a retail price of approximately Rs. 10,200 ($149). It’s slightly smaller sibling, the standard Lenovo Vibe K5, has a smaller screen and lower power SoC, and was set at approximately Rs. 8,800, or roughly $129.

The Vibe K5 Plus is yet another promising product that manages to mix both mid-range specs and an attractive modern design language. With an affordable price tag, the product is set to expand the Chinese company’s growing presence in the larger Asian market.
