September 29th looks like it is going to be an exciting day for Android fans everywhere. Not only do we expect two new Nexus devices on the 29th, but recently HTCalso announced its own press event for Japan. While it isn’t completely known what HTC will bring to the table, rumors suggest we may see a new flagship-class product known as the HTCA9 or, in some circles, the Aero.

That to the rumor mill, we already have a fairly solid picture of what to expect from the Aero, but now a new tweet from LlabTooFeR reveals one more juicy detail: the phone will allegedly run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

If true, that’s pretty impressive, considering the phone is expected to be announced the same day as the new Nexus phones, which will be the first two devices on the market running Marshmallow out of the box. Of course, HTCmay not actually ship the phone to consumers until weeks or even months after the 29th, but that’s still pretty ambitious timing.

What else can we expect from the HTCAero? As a recap, is said to pack a fairly high-end specs including a MediaTek deca-core Helio X20 Soc. MediaTek might not be the first name you think of when it comes to high-end, but don’t let this fool you, this particular chip offers tons of power under the hood. Other specs include a 5.2-inch QHD display, 4GB RAM, and a 3500 mAh battery. Design wise, the HTCA9 Aero will reportedly look a lot like the latest iPhone, though we really can’t confirm the validity of these images just yet.

What do you think, excited for a new HTCflagship? Does the presence of a MediaTek chip turn you off or are you willing to give the chip a chance? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
