You might be expecting HTC to promote its brand new One A9s. But it looks like not even HTCcan muster the necessary excitement for a device that is, in some ways, inferior to last year’s One A9.

Case in point, the tweet that is currently pinned at the top of HTC’s official Twitter account teases its next device, not the freshly announced One A9s.

What is this “edgier” device that HTCis talking about? Thanks to an older report from Evan Blass, a.k.a. @evleaks, we know that it’s the Desire 10.

HTC is expected to launch two variants of the Desire 10 – the Lifestyle and the Pro – on September 20. The former will feature a 5.5-inch 720p display, an unnamed quad-core Snapdragon chipset, 2 GB/16 GB and 3 GB/32 GB RAM configurations (depending on the market), and 13 MP and 5 MP cameras. We expect the Pro to come with a better spec sheet, but we don’t have any concrete details about that.

The “edge” that HTCis touting is quite literal: the Desire 10 Lifestyle and Pro will come with a faux-metal trim around their edges and camera modules. The body of the devices will be a matte, solid colored plastic, as HTCmercifully abandoned the speckled design it used on the Desire 530, Desire 630, and Desire 825.

So, who’s excited for the Desire 10?
