The original Dragon Quest (better known in the US as Dragon Warrior) has now arrived to Android, courtesy of Square-Enix!

The NES classic first arrived to Japan back in 1986 and has been ported to various consoles and devices over the years, but what’s interesting about this latest release it that it marks the first time the game has debuted in Europe. For those in the US, we may have seen it before, but it’s still nice to be able to play it on our Android devices.

While many of Square-Enix’s Android ports have been pretty high priced, this one comes in at $2.99, which all things considered isn’t bad. As for the game itself? This turn-based classic is largely the same as ever, other than the game has had some art elements redesigned, it features a vertical orientation this time around, and (as you’d expect) the controls have been re-worked with touchscreens in mind.

If you’re a fan of Square-Enix or just classic RPGs in general, you’ll want to head on over to Google Play to check this one out for yourself.
