VR is all the hype in 2016 and no one can stop talking about it. It’s a good time to jump on the bandwagon. Of course, Google knows this and that’s why they are investing so much into this movement. Google Cardboard made VR accessible to the masses, Google Daydream is polishing the experience and content availability is growing.

Today we are learning VR is finally coming to Chrome, something we started hearing about since March 30th. Don’t rush to try it yet, though, as there are some things you should learn first.

Google's vision for VR: bringing high-end VR to the masses
Features

This feature is only available for those using the Chrome Dev channel, at least for now. You will need to go into chrome://flags/#enable-vr-shell and enable the browser shell for VR. This will make it possible for users to browse the web using their Cardboard or Daydream headsets.

This is only the beginning. More content will continue to emerge as the technology matures. For now, just sit tight and enjoy it in Chrome Dev if you are willing to test the new feature, which is likely to have a hiccup or two.

Oh, and don’t forget to keep it tuned to our sister site VRSource.com, where there’s plenty of VR-related content to go around.
