Pretty much right on schedule, HTC’s Mo Versi has announced that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for AT&T branded HTC One M8s has finally passed approval and will begin heading out to handsets today.

AT&T HTCOne (M8) Owners! We just received technical approval for Lollipop OS! Thank you for all your patience, OTA to start tomorrow.

I say finally because the Lollipop update for AT&T HTCOne M7 phones began rolling out at the end of March, leaving the M8 lagging behind its older sibling. Other US carriers began pushing Lollipop updates to their One M8 smartphones more than a month ago, perhaps suggesting that AT&T was having trouble with the update. But at least it’s here now.

The update will include all of the features that we’ve seen in other M8 Lollipop upgrades, including the Material Design Sense 6 user interface, new multitasking layout, notifications and some extra security features.

Be sure to keep an eye out for an OTA notification over the coming days, or alternatively spam the check for updates button in the settings menu to see if it has arrived yet.
