Just a few weeks ago, ASUS unveiled two new tablets during Computex 2017, one of which was the ZenPad 3S 8.0. The company didn’t release any price or availability information at the time, but Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) is suggesting that the 8-inch tablet, bearing the model number ZT582KL, is heading to Verizon. Although it looks like it may appear under the ZenPad Z8 moniker in the US.

Unfortunately we still don’t know when the ZenPad 3S 8.0 will be landing in the US, or if the larger mid-range 10-inch variants will be following suit. International variants are expected to hit the market sometime in August and previous generation models made their way to the US, so perhaps that’s when the Verizon model will launch too.

The ZenPad 3S 8.0 is an upgrade to last year’s ZenPad 3 8.0, offering up some slight improvements to keep the range up to date. Last year’s Snapdragon 650 chipset sees a bump to the Snapdragon 652, and the camera configurations have been upgraded to a more notable 5 megapixels on the front and 13 megapixels on the back. There’s also Android Nougat out of the box.

Other than that, there’s the same 2048 x 1536 resolution display, and memory options available in 3GB RAM, 32GB flash or 4GB RAM, 64GB internal storage. We’ll have to see if Verizon offers both or just one of these options when the tablet hits its shore shelves later this year.

Do you like what you see with the ASUS Zenpad 3S 8.0 / Z8, is it an interesting product when paired up with Verizon’s LTE prowess?
