XREAL is a leader in the XR glasses space, but it’s also been readying its first pair of Android XR glasses, dubbed the XREAL Aura. We already had a chance to go hands-on with these specs, but pricing and availability were a mystery. Until now, that is.
XREAL has announced that the Aura Android XR glasses will start at $1,279. This gets you the 12GB/256GB variant, while the 16GB/512GB model costs $1,499. The device is available in medium (60 to 66mm) and large (66 to 72mm) options. Either way, these glasses are slightly cheaper than the $1,400 Galaxy S26 Ultra was at launch, while being a scant $20 cheaper than Meta’s VR glasses.
Pre-orders are currently restricted to people who placed a reservation deposit, with XREAL adding that orders for the general public will open in the “coming weeks.” Can’t wait to get your glasses, but haven’t paid the deposit? The company says you can still pay the reservation deposit today for priority delivery.

The XREAL Aura glasses run Android XR and have a pair of built-in displays with a 70-degree field-of-view. This means you can do everything from watching YouTube to seeing Google Maps directions. The glasses also have a built-in trackpad for navigation, along with hand-tracking technology.
It’s worth noting that these glasses are powered by a Snapdragon Reality Elite chip in a bundled puck. So the tethered setup means it isn’t quite on par with something like Meta’s display-free Ray-Ban glasses when it comes to a lightweight experience.
In any event, the XREAL Aura glasses will start shipping in mid-November to customers in the US, Canada, Japan, and South Korea. Expect availability in more markets from 2027.
