Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus last month, and it’s finally launched the device in India as the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge.

The phone is identical to the Redmi device, earning its HyperCharge moniker thanks to 120W wired charging capabilities for its 4,500mAh battery. This should deliver a 100% charge in 15 minutes, according to the company. We’re not sure if this means a full charge in 15 minutes or if it’s simply fuzzy logic and it will continue to charge for a few minutes thereafter to a proper full charge, but it should be blazing fast either way.

The rest of the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge spec sheet is pretty impressive for a mid-ranger too. It serves up a capable Dimensity 920 chipset, a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz OLED panel, and a glass body with an IP53 splash resistance rating.

Xiaomi’s phone also delivers a triple rear camera system, consisting of a 108MP main shooter (HM2, 0.7-micron pixels), 8MP ultrawide lens (120-degree field of view), and a 2MP macro camera. A 16MP camera handles selfies and video calls.

Other notable features include Android 11 (no Android 12 here just yet), a side fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, a 3.5mm port, and an IR blaster.

Xiaomi 11i series: What else to know?

The company also launched the Xiaomi 11i alongside the HyperCharge variant, being a rebranded Redmi Note 11 Pro. This is identical to the HyperCharge variant in every regard except for battery capacity and charging speed, featuring a significantly larger 5,160mAh battery and slower 67W wired charging instead. This is still an impressive wattage, and both the standard model and HyperCharge variants will get the required charger in the box.

The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge starts at Rs 26,999 (~$363) for the 6GB/128GB variant, while the 8GB/128GB variant retails for Rs 28,999 (~$390). Meanwhile, the standard Xiaomi 11i will set you back Rs 24,999 (~$336) for the 6GB/128GB model and Rs 26,999 (~$363) for the 8GB/128GB option.
