These stylish backpacks feature a 13,400 mAh power bank for charging your devices
Almost everyone has something they need to carry and almost everyone has a phone with poor battery life: put these ideas together and you’ve got a backpack that can charge phones, also known as the Visvo Novel.
The Visvo Novel recently launched on Kickstarter and is described as the “essential backpack for everyday adventures.” It comes in an urban grey color scheme with IP54 certification for dust and water resistance, shock absorption technology and front and rear LED bike lights.
It’s built to be stylish and functional as a regular high-quality backpack, but also comes with a 13,400 mAh power bank inside. This features three ports and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology, allowing you to charge your various devices with the pop-out USB cables.
The Visvo Novel comes in three flavors: Novel 1.0, Novel 2.0 (seen above) and Novel 3.0. These offer different features and arrive at different prices. They’re currently available as limited early bird offers which could, if you’ll pardon the pun, bag you up to 50% off the “planned retail price” of the backpacks, depending on which one you choose. There are fifty of these available at each tier, starting at €299 (~$353) for Novel 1.0 and running up to €389 (~$460) for the model 3.0.
Visvo says that results in a 40% saving for early birds picking up the most expensive model, which does suggest that the bag would have a planned retail price of around $770; might be a bit hard to shift them at that price.
Visvo’s Novel backpacks are set to ship in July 2018 should the company reach its €100,000 goal. If you want to fund the project, visit the Kickstarter page here.
