Moto X (2nd Gen.) users on Verizon are beginning to get their first taste of Lollipop, as members of the Motorola Feedback Network are just now receiving their soak tests for the Android 5.0 update.

So how long before everyone else on Big Red’s network get in on the action? These types of soak test updates usually don’t take a super long time to be put through the paces, and already we’ve heard a few reports from non-soaktesters claiming the update is rolling in. That said, Verizon has yet to officially confirm the update’s full availability, though we’ll be sure to update you as soon as we learn more.

As for what you get with Lollipop on the Moto X? There really isn’t anything we’re unfamiliar with. We’re still getting the pure Android Lollipop experience, paired with a few of Motorola’s included features. The new Material Design language, improved security features, better notification management, and more are all present in this update. If you’re interested in seeing the full changelog, head to the link below.

The update comes in at a hefty 678.6MB download, so be sure to have enough available space before accepting the update. If you’re unfamiliar with manually checking for updates, head to Settings>About Phone>System Updates>Check Now. If you’re like us, you’ll feel like you’re breaking the button from over-pressing it… but let’s hope you don’t get to that point.

Let us know if you’ve gotten either the soak test or the official update yet! If so, how are you liking Lollipop on the X? Pretty snappy, right?
