Ubisoft is planning to launch a new game in its long-running Tom Clancy series of military-themed titles later this year, and this time it’s a mobile game for Android and iOS. Not only that, but the game will serve to bring a number of Clancy characters and franchises together in one title.

Announced as part of Ubisoft’s E3 2019 press conference, Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad will allow players to team up and control characters, both heroes and villains, from the long history of Clancy game franchises like Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, The Division, and Splinter Cell. Characters like Sam Fisher, Montagne, Caveira, Nomad, and El Sueño can be recruited by the player to form five-man teams to battle either in the game’s single-player story mode or online in PVP multiplayer matches.

The game’s official reveal trailer shows a comic book-like art style, along with a third-person semi-top-down perspective. Each character will have his or her own special skills and weapons, with heavy firearms on some “specialists” balanced by defensive capabilities on others, and more light and fast movement for other characters. The 5v5 battles will include barriers to hide behind and items like remote turrets that can be used.

Ubisoft has not yet revealed a release date for Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad, other than it is “coming soon.” There’s also no word on a price , although it looks like it could be a free-to-play title. You can pre-register your interest at the game’s official website When the game launches, you can access a special character based on Walker from the upcoming game Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
