Thumb Drift Racing is the latest brainchild of SMG Studio, the guys who brought us One More Line. It’s a game that is as faced-paced as it is addicting. On the surface, Thumb Drift appears to be a run-of-the-mill low-poly mobile racer. However, where this baby really shines is the incorporation of drifting as opposed to normal turning. Something about having your back tires slide lazily out from under you as you glide around a turn brings a whole new punch to the racing experience.

Although it’s a bit difficult to get the hang of in the beginning, the drift mechanic swiftly becomes your ally, allowing you to snake through hairpin turns and zig-zags with style and grace, collecting streams of coins as you do so. The stakes are high as well, because just brushing a wall will cause your vehicle to explode into a cacophony of crunchy little colorful parts. The tracks are varied, sprawling courses, and you unlock more of them by achieving longer and longer distances without exploding. The coins you collect can be used to unlock more vehicles, and was that a tank we just saw glide by?

The game is free to play, but not pay to win. Ads fund this sporty little enterprise, but if they get on your nerves, you can fork over a couple of bucks to shut them down for good. That way the only thing standing between you and the open road is your nerve and your reflexes. Give Thumb Drift Racing a spin by clicking the button below to grab it from the Google Play Store.
