Speed Test G: OnePlus 6T vs Google Pixel 3
The Speed Test G system was launched this week offering a new way to measure the real-life performance of Android smartphones. It combines the best aspects of traditional speed tests with the geekiness of benchmarks. With Speed Test G, the apps are standalone and not incorporated into the Speed Test G app, so they need to be loaded into memory and initialized, just like a speed test. Then, these apps perform CPU- and/or GPU-intensive tasks, much the same way that benchmarks work. Get one, get the other for free!
In this Speed Test G contest, I test the OnePlus 6T against the Pixel 3 XL. Both use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor but traditionally the “T” version of the latest OnePlus handset is seen as the fastest on the market. But is it?
