Update: February 19, 2021 (4:45 AM ET): A week after halting its One UI 3.1 update to the Galaxy S20 FE, Samsung is now resuming the rollout. Per SamMobile, the update is bringing firmware version G781BXXU2CUB5 to some variants of the Galaxy S20 FE — that’s the same firmware version as the previous update. It’s still unclear why Samsung pulled the update, but it doesn’t seem that the firmware itself is to blame.
It isn’t the first time Samsung has halted then resumed an update rollout this year — users awaiting a Galaxy S10 update experienced something similar last month.
Samsung’s One UI 3.1 update adds Google Discover’s availability on the home screen, better location management for photos, and a few UI tweaks to the device.
