Samsung Galaxy Note 9 versus Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Quick look-14

When we first heard about the possibility that there would be no Samsung Galaxy Note 10 headphone jack, we didn’t want to believe it. At this point though, it seems almost certain that Samsung will reveal the Note 10 on August 7 and it won’t feature the beloved port.

To add even more strength to the rumor, we now have three leaked images of what appears to be the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 headphone dongle (via SamMobile).

Check out the images below:

The USB-C-to-3.5mm dongle looks very much like other similar dongles we’ve seen from other OEMs that ditched the headphone jack.

Although we don’t know for certain, all signs point to this Samsung Galaxy Note 10 headphone dongle getting included for free with any Galaxy Note 10 or Note 10 Plus purchase. We also expect some USB-C earbuds to be inside the box from Samsung sub-brand AKG. It’s also very possible that the company will offer free Samsung Galaxy Buds with pre-orders, as it did with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10 family.

It’s been nearly three years since Apple started the trend of removing the headphone jack, but this will be the first bonafide flagship phone from Samsung to follow suit. Since Samsung has held out the longest of most other OEMs when it comes to keeping the jack, the sight of the dongle above will likely make many Samsung fans upset.

The real question, though, is will the lack of a headphone jack affect the Note 10’s sales? Time will tell.

What do you think? Are you fine with the idea of using this Samsung Galaxy Note 10 headphone dongle? Or will you not be buying the Note 10 due to the removal of the jack? Let us know in the comments!
