TL;DR
  • Xiaomi has announced the Redmi Note 11T in India.
  • The phone is effectively a Redmi Note 11 and POCO M4 Pro with a region-specific name.
  • Pricing will start at Rs 16,999 (~$226) when it arrives in early December.

Xiaomi has announced yet another Redmi Note phone today, only this time it’s a rebrand specifically for the Indian market. The Redmi Note 11T, therefore, packs plenty of features you’ve seen before.

Aesthetically, you’ll find it difficult to tell this phone, the POCO M4 Pro, and the original Redmi Note 11 apart, especially at the rear. The 11T includes that large camera island popularized by more premium Xiaomi devices. This renaming strategy shouldn’t be too surprising, considering Xiaomi did this with the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10T last year.

Redmi Note 11T specs

As for the specs, the Redmi Note 11T uses the Dimensity 810 SoC chipset mated to at least 6GB of RAM, UFS 2.2 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging. There’s an expandable storage slot, too. There’s a 6.6-inch 90Hz LCD with a 240Hz touch sampling rate and a 16MP selfie shooter up front. At the rear, you’ll find 50MP primary, 2MP macro, and 8MP ultra-wide cameras mounted in that large array.

A side-mounted fingerprint scanner with double-tap shortcut support, IP53 splash resistance, and a 3.5mm headphone jack also feature, while the phone offers MIUI 12.5 out of the box.

Realistically, there’s not much to set it apart from the POCO M4 Pro, but it’s a decent upgrade over the Redmi Note 10T in most aspects, including chipset, screen size, and RAM offering.

Pricing and availability

So, what does the Redmi Note 11T cost?

You’ll have a choice between three RAM/storage configs, starting with the 6GB/64GB option. That goes for Rs 16,999 (~$226). The 6GB/128GB option comes in at Rs 17,999 (~$239), while the top-spec 8GB/128GB option lands for R19,999 (~$266). You can also shave up to Rs 2,000 (~$27) off these prices through various introductory offers too.
