  • More details of the Redmi Note 11 series have emerged.
  • The “Pro Plus” variant will gain 120W charging with a “dual-cell” battery design per teasers.
  • Redmi confirmed several additional specs ahead of the phone line’s launch, too.

Xiaomi‘s Redmi brand is spilling plenty of Redmi Note 11 series details ahead of its launch later this week. We’ve already got a taste of the phone’s design. Now, we have a better idea of the phones’ core specs, including dizzying charging figures.

Per several teasers posted to Weibo, the Redmi Note 11 series will feature 120W charging, making it the first Redmi phone to hit this mark. The phones may use a “dual cell” design which decreases the charging resistance and voltage, while a graphite-based liquid cooling system keeps temps under control.

Notably, 120W charging support for any phone, let alone a mid-ranger, is decidedly impressive. It would bring the Redmi Note 11 series in line with Xiaomi’s more premium offerings, like the 11T Pro. However, don’t get too excited if you’re interested in the standard or Note 11 Pro. Xiaomi may reserve this feature for the top-flight device and settle on slower charging speeds for the supporting cast.

Xiaomi’s Lu Weibing recently teased that a “Pro Plus” model could be in the works alongside a Pro model. A JD.com listing also hints at the Pro Plus title.

Redmi Note 11 series: Other specs

Redmi has teased a slew of other specs, too. We know the Redmi Note 11 line may feature 120Hz AMOLED screens, a punch-hole camera up front, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and JBL-tuned speakers. Also teased are Wi-Fi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC. RAM/storage configs for the Pro and Pro Plus models may include 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB, and 8GB/256GB options, too.

The Redmi Note 11 series is shaping up to be a compelling mid-range choice. Expect these details and more to emerge when the phone line makes its debut on October 28.
