TL;DR
  • realme has officially launched the realme 7 and realme 7 Pro in Europe.
  • This follows the launch of the phones in India in September.
  • The realme 7 will debut at €179, with the realme 7 Pro coming in at €299.

Europe’s mid-range smartphone market is welcoming two new entrants from realme today. After debuting in India last month, the BBK brand is bringing the realme 7 series to the continent, featuring slightly different specs to their Indian counterparts and the previous generation.

realme 7

If you snapped up the realme 6 when it launched back in March, there’s no real reason to upgrade to the realme 7. Aesthetically, the two phones are different, though. The latter swaps the realme 6’s shimmering rear panel for a two-tone look drawing attention to the broader rear camera array. Here you’ll find the first major feature deviation from the Indian model.

realme 7 will only see a 48MP primary snapper in Europe, not the 64MP shooter used on the Indian variant. It will still be joined by an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro, and 2MP depth snapper. It’s an odd omission, given that the realme 6 sported a 64MP sensor too, but it’s likely a ploy to further differentiate the realme 7 from the realme 7 Pro. It also gives potential buyers another reason to snag the Pro model.

The realme 7 also sports a MediaTek Helio G95 chipset with a 5,000mAh battery. The latter can be topped up using realme’s 30W Dart Charge system. Adding to its gaming bent is a 6.5-inch 2,400 x 1,080 LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate, similar to the realme 6. A 16MP selfie camera also features.

Mist White and Mist Blue colorways are available.

realme 7 Pro buyers in Europe meanwhile receive the same phone as launched in India, complete with a two-tone finish at the rear and a bigger camera array than its sibling.

That “Pro” moniker also gets users a 6.4-inch OLED display pegged at a 60Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 720G chipset, and a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging. A 64MP IMX682 primary camera features, along with the same trio of tertiary cameras on the realme 7. The X3 Superzoom‘s Starry Night feature also arrives on the 7 Pro. A 32MP selfie camera is mounted in a punch-hole.

A dual SIM slot and dedicated microSD card slot also features. For audio lovers, the phone also packs stereo speakers with Dolby Audio support.

Mirror Blue and Mirror Silver are the colorways on offer.

realme 7 series: European pricing and availability

The realme 7 will launch in three RAM and storage variants: 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB, and 8GB/128GB. They’ll be priced at €179 (~$210), €199 (~$233), and €249 (~$292), respectively. The phone goes on sale from October 21 via realme’s online store and other participating retailers.

As for the realme 7 Pro, the phone will be available in a single variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It will be priced at €299 (~$351) and will be available as of October 13 from realme and other participating stores.
