The game is all about you building and running a high security prison

The game is all about you building and running a high security prison. Viewed from a top-down perspective, you have to not only construct and maintain the prison itself, but you also have to keep it running by managing your guards and staff. Of course, you also have to keep an eye out on your prisoners, and you can even try to increase their morale by launching special reform programs inside so they don’t try to riot or escape.

Introversion launched an alpha version of Prison Architect back in 2012, and used money from its pre-orders to help fund its development through to its final release in 2015. Since then, the game has been released on the Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 consoles, with total sales of over 2 million units.

Paradox Interactive stated the Android and iOS tablet versions of Prison Architect will be free-to-play, with additional content and updates available via in-app purchases. If you live in the Netherlands, you can go to the Google Play Store right now and snag the game, as Paradox will use feedback from the soft launch to improve the mobile version before it launches worldwide.
