TL;DR
  • A lengthy list of specs has leaked allegedly detailing the forthcoming POCO X3.
  • The leaked info is seemingly derived from a deleted Spanish YouTube video.
  • Pricing information has also made an early appearance, stemming from Xiaomi’s Philippines store.

Xiaomi sub-brand POCO has been teasing specs of its upcoming POCO X3 mid-ranger, but a new substantial leak has now filled in the gaps.

The leaked info, coming via tipster Abhishek Yadav, is reportedly garnered from an early and now deleted Spanish unboxing video.

We’ve not had a chance to see the video ourselves, but the info does seemingly corroborate earlier leaked info released by Ishan Agarwal. This includes the 6.67-inch LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a sizeable 5,160mAh battery with 33W fast charging support, and a 64MP f/1.79 primary camera. The latter detail was also confirmed by POCO’s global spokesperson late last month.

Three additional rear cameras are mentioned by Yadav, including an 8MP wide-angle snapper, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro camera.

As for its internals, the POCO X3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 732G, a detail that has also made an appearance in earlier reports. As for storage, Yadav states there’ll be at least two storage options of 64GB and 128GB, and at least 6GB of RAM.

In another leak (via Playfuldroid), we also get an idea of how aggressively POCO could price its first original device. According to a listing on the Philippine Xiaomi store, the “standard version” POCO X3 could start at 10,990 Philippine pesos (~$226) with a “premium version” priced at 12,990 Philippine pesos (~$267). The latter could pack more storage and RAM than its sibling.

At that price, the X3 could be a solid prospect, coming in well under the $379 OnePlus Nord and the $349 Google Pixel 4a in the mid-range market. Direct conversions aren’t always accurate representations of prices in different markets, but POCO’s seemingly building this device to heavily undercut these devices on price-to-value.

There’s not long to wait for confirmation of specs and price, at least. The POCO X3 is set to launch on September 7.
