The OnePlus 5T launched with upgraded specs that reflect this year’s smartphone trends: a new aspect ratio display and a near bezel-less design. What it did not come with was Android Oreo, despite having been announced and released around a month ago. The Shenzhen-based electronics company promised that the OnePlus 5T would be getting Android Oreo before the end of the year, and it looks like it will keep its promise with less than a week left of 2017. OnePlus Germany took to Twitter to announce the Android Oreo Open Beta build for OnePlus 5T users:

While the post claims that the Open Beta program will start now, curiously enough, there has been no mention of it in the official OnePlus Forums, and none of the other OnePlus social media accounts have posted anything about it. Don’t be too disappointed though – OnePlus Germany probably just jumped the gun, meaning the beta program should be announced in the Forums in the near future. Here’s hoping that it’s before we ring in 2018!
