Nova Launcher 4.3 leaves beta, introduces night mode and more
After being in beta for a while now, Nova Launcher 4.3 has finally reached the stable channel bringing a number of new changes to the mix.
Probably the biggest feature here is the new Night Mode, which automatically can darken parts of the UI at night, which should make it much less taxing on the eyes. The UI elements affected by the new night mode are the search bar, app drawer, and the desktop folders. The idea of a “night mode” is nothing new, with custom launchers from companies like OnePlus employing such options already, and even Android N looking to (re)introduce such a thing. Nonetheless, this is a nice extra that many users will appreciate.
As for what else is new? Nova now offers Android N’s new folder style as an option, and even gives us tons of new customization options for the desktop search bar. This includes the ability to give old and new Google font styles, widget colors, and more. Nova Launcher 4.3 also introduces a few miscellaneous bug fixes that should result in smoother performance.
