Nothing tells us nothing about March 23 event: Here's what it might announce
- Nothing has announced an event for March 23.
- Carl Pei will make announcements about the company’s 2022 roadmap.
- The company is expected to announce plans for a new smartphone.
Former OnePlus boss Carl Pei’s new company Nothing is getting ready for a major announcement on March 23. The startup hasn’t revealed any specifics of what it might announce, but Pei will be leading the keynote for the event.
All eyes are on a Nothing smartphone. Pei has been teasing a possible Android phone announcement for a while now. He was also apparently spotted showing a Nothing smartphone prototype to Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon.
Nothing’s teaser page for the event talks a big game for 2022. “It was always about 2022,” a caption reads on the company’s website. The event itself is titled “The Truth,” which gives away absolutely nothing about the upcoming announcements.
We don’t expect Pei to launch a Nothing smartphone on the day, but he may share plans or a teaser for one. A press release tells us that Pei will disclose further announcements about Nothing’s 2022 roadmap. Let’s wait and watch what’s in store. The event will go live at 9 AM ET.
