Nokia 8 marks HMD’s debut in the flagship Android market, and with the latest Qualcomm processor and a stunning dual-camera configuration, the phone looks ready to take on more established brands in this space. But where can you find it? And what about the Nokia 8 price tag?
It’ll launch in September. The Nokia 8 release date is on September 6th to select markets, and will roll out to more markets throughout the month.
How much will it cost? Right now we only have European Nokia 8 price information, with pricing set at £499 in the U.K. That translates out to around $650 in the U.S., but phones tend to be priced cheaper in the US than Europe, so it’s possible the price tag could end up closer to the $550 – $600 mark. We’ll update with specific regional pricing as we learn more.
The Nokia 8 will be available globally. While Nokia hasn’t given us an official U.S. Nokia price, the Nokia 8 is expected to make its way stateside, in addition to other global markets like Asia and Europe. Judging by how the brand has handled the Nokia 8’s lower-end brothers, it’s possible that the US launch could be a bit more delayed from the European — but that’s just speculation.
Will it be offered by carriers? Yes… at least it is in the U.K. so far. While the device is only being offered from EE and Virgin directly, buying through Carphone Warehouse will allow you to activate the device on Vodafone, O2, and EE. As for other markets around the world, we’re not entirely sure yet.
What colors are offered? The Nokia 8 will be available in four colors: Polished Blue, Polished Copper, Tempered Blue, and Steel. Keep in mind some of these colors could be specific to certain regions or carriers.
Nokia 8 carrier and retailer deals:
The Nokia 8 will be available for purchase on September 13 from Carphone Warehouse, EE, Virgin, Amazon, John Lewis, as well as a range of high street and online retailers. The U.K. is only getting Steel and Tempered Blue color options, with pricing starting at £499.
You can pre-order the device now from Nokia.com, EE, and Carphone Warehouse. Nokia says Virgin pre-orders should be live now, though it appears the pre-order link isn’t live yet. We’ll be sure to update this article when it shows up.
Unlocked: The Nokia 8 is now up for pre-order at Nokia.com in Steel and Tempered Blue color options for £499.99.
Carphone Warehouse: Carphone Warehouse is selling the Nokia 8 for £499.99 without a contract, or for lower prices with various contract sizes. If you pre-order the phone from them you can also get a Nokia Steel smartwatch for free, which is a £119.99 value.
