NHL SuperCard 2K17 merges hockey and card battles in the Google Play Store
With the 2016 National Hockey League season getting underway this week, it’s the perfect time for 2K Sports and its mobile division to launch a new free-to-play card battle game that features people that sometimes like to battle on the ice in real life. We are talking about NHL SuperCard 2K17, which is now available to download in the Google Play Store.
Developed by Cat Daddy Games, the game invites players to create their own pro hockey team, using over 400 collectible cards that feature current NHL players. The cards have varying degrees of rarity and you can also purchase new card packs to supplement your team.
Once you have your cards, you can “train” the players contained in them to improve their skills in skating, hockey playing and more. When you are ready, you can engage in online Quick Games with other players or you can participate in Season Mode, which are week-long simulations of NHL seasons. Players can also join with others to go after a group of opponents in Rival Clash events, on in the longer Road to the Cup events.
Players unlock new cards with daily login rewards and of course there will be special in-game sales on card packs. If you are a hockey fan, are you going to be checking out this mash-up of the NHL with collectible card battles?
