Nest has released a new update for its Android app that allows you to control the company’s products you have in your home. The update adds three new things: Google Smart Lock support; improved notification settings; and a “Works with Nest” section.

With the added Google Smart Lock, logging into the Nest app just got a lot easier. There’s no need to remember your password anymore, as you can sign in with the help of your Google Account.

Next up are the improved notifications. Thanks to the new update, it’s now possible for you to set notifications for motion activity, person alerts, or both. Additionally, each family member has the option of tailoring the notification settings to their liking.

The last thing that the update adds is probably the least interesting. You’ll find a new “Works with Nest” section in the app, which is basically an in-app catalog showing you a bunch of products that are compatible with Nest’s ecosystem.

The update should already be available. To get it, simply update the Nest app on your device and you’re good to go.
