Motorola shows off its Signature 27 flagship, and there's good news for audiophiles

As we get closer to the scheduled launch of Motorola’s Signature 27 flagship, the company has shared yet another teaser for the phone. While earlier teasers offered a glimpse of the camera island, this latest one provides a better look at the entire device.

Technically, the new teaser is an X video announcing Motorola’s partnership with audio brand Bang & Olufsen. However, we catch glimpses of the upcoming phone throughout the clip, including the rear panel and the top speaker grille. The video also confirms that the phone will feature a stereo speaker setup. While there was never much doubt, today’s teaser officially confirms that the Signature 27 will include speakers on both the top and bottom for stereo sound.

Previous teasers have already confirmed a couple of key specs for the upcoming flagship. The phone will feature a 200MP Sony LYTIA sensor. Although we do not yet know the exact sensor Motorola is using, it could be the Sony LYTIA 901. We also know the phone will support 100x Super Zoom and Dolby Vision.

The Bang & Olufsen partnership means Motorola flagship phones starting with the Signature 27 will feature tuning by the audio maker. However, the collaboration is not limited to sound tuning and “Audio by Bang & Olufsen” branding. Motorola’s blog post announcing the partnership notes that it will extend to custom sound modes and new user experiences. That said, it remains unclear exactly what “new user experiences” this partnership will unlock.

The Motorola Signature 27 is set to debut at the Snapdragon Summit, where we will also learn more about Qualcomm’s latest chipsets. Stay tuned for that coverage.
