TL;DR
  • Motorola has launched four budget-focused Moto G phones.
  • All but one of the devices pack a 60Hz OLED panel, while two of the phones are 5G-enabled.

The Moto G series of budget phones are no-frills devices that usually offer decent value for money. We’ve already seen a budget Moto G device launch this week, and now Motorola has launched four more products.

The Moto G31, G41, G51, and G71 all have a few features in common, namely a 5,000mAh battery, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro lens, a center-mounted punch-hole cutout, a 3.5mm port, and Android 11. But look a little closer and you’ll find some differences.

Moto G31 and G41

Starting with the Moto G31 (seen above) and G41, the two devices also share a 4G-toting Helio G85 processor, a 6.4-inch FHD+ OLED panel (at 60Hz), and a 13MP selfie camera.

The G41 is the better offering on paper though, touting a 48MP main camera, 30W charging, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Meanwhile, the G31 packs a budget-tier 50MP main camera, 10W charging, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of storage.

Moto G71

Want something with 5G connectivity? That’s where the Moto G51 comes in, packing a Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset to enable faster cellular speeds. Otherwise, you’re still looking at a budget-tier proposition for the most part.

The G51 serves up a 6.8-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. The phone also brings 10W charging, a 50MP main camera, and an IP52 rating.

Finally, the top dog of the lot is the Moto G71 (seen above), and it brings a Snapdragon 695 5G processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. Motorola’s mid-ranger also serves up a 6.4-inch 60Hz OLED panel, 30W charging, a 50MP main camera, and 16MP selfie shooter.

Pricing

The Moto G31 starts at €199.99 (~$227), according to MySmartPrice, and is available in Mineral Gray and Baby Blue color options. Want the Moto G41? Then you’ll be splashing out €249.99 (~$284) on the device, which is available in Meteorite Black and Pearl Gold colorways.

The Moto G51 will retail for €229.99 (~$261) and is available in Bright Silver and Indigo Blue colors. Those intrigued by the Moto G71 will need to splash out €299.99 (~$340) for the phone, coming in Arctic Blue, Iron Black, and Neptune Green options.

Of course, this isn’t the only announcement Motorola had today. The firm also announced an affordable flagship-level device dubbed the Moto G200. So those looking for a ton of power at an attractive price should check that device out.
