The Moto device packs super-fast connectivity, but what else should you expect?

TL;DR
  • Motorola has launched the Moto G 5G in India.
  • The new Moto G device has a promo price of ~$284.

The Moto G 5G is one of the cheaper 5G phones by the brand, coming in at €300 (~$359) in the likes of Europe. Now, the phone has made a stop in India, and you can expect a somewhat cheaper price tag as well.

Motorola’s new 5G phone will be available from December 7 via Flipkart at a promotional price of Rs 20,999 (~$284), with the regular price pegged at Rs 24,999 (~$338). So what do you get for the cash?

Well, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 750G chipset, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage. Meanwhile, a 5,000mAh battery with a 20W charger keeps things chugging along. In fact, Motorola is claiming more than two days of juice with this battery.

The Moto 5 5G camera experience isn’t much to write home about, featuring a pedestrian triple rear camera setup on paper (48MP main, 2MP macro, 2MP depth). So those expecting an ultra-wide lens here might be disappointed. Turning to the front, a 16MP camera adorns the center-mounted punch-hole cutout on the 6.67-inch FHD+ LCD screen (with HDR10 support).

Other noteworthy details include a 3.5mm port, rear fingerprint scanner, Android 10 (unfortunately) with a promised upgrade to Android 11, and a water-repellent design.
