The Moto Z and Moto Z Droid are good phones, but they come with some significant downsides. The software isn’t really one of those, as Motorola is great at offering an almost pure Android experience, but if you are not a fan of the Moto OS it will now be easier to get decent ROMs.

Android 7.0 Nougat kernel source codes for the Moto Z and Moto Z Droid have been released and are ready for tinkering. This will make it much easier for ROM developers to work their magic through Motorola’s latest update, which arrived only about a couple weeks ago.
