Moto One phones are getting ready for a comeback, and here’s a first look at the hardware
Nov 4, 2026 — 1:37 PM ET
- A filing for the Moto One was spotted on the Wireless Power Consortium database.
- The filing includes an image of Motorola’s upcoming phone.
- It also confirms that the Moto One has extended power profile Qi2 support.
While all the attention is currently on the Signature 27, Motorola has another device on the way. The company is working on a handset called the Moto One, which would be the first new addition to the One series since 2019. This device has now popped up in a certification database, giving us some details about Motorola’s next smartphone.
Spotted by the folks over at Notebookcheck, the Moto One was found on the Wireless Power Consortium database. The filing includes an image of said handset, showing off the front, back, sides, top, and bottom. Design-wise, the Moto One could easily be mistaken for the Motorola Edge 2025.
The listing also confirms that the Moto One will have Qi2 support. However, it will only have extended power profile (EPP) support, not magnetic power profile (MPP) support. That means you’ll still be able to charge the phone wirelessly, but you’ll need to pop on a magnetic case if you want to use it with your magnetic accessories.
Motorola has yet to make an announcement regarding the Moto One. As a result, there are no details on how much it will cost or when it will launch. We don’t even know what markets Motorola plans to release the phone in. At the very least, it appears this could be a premium mid-range phone rather than a flagship-level device. Considering its appearance in the database, a launch may not be far off.
