Monument Valley 2, one of the best Android games ever, is free right now

Monument Valley is one of the best mobile game franchises out there. It offers mind-bending puzzles that you need to solve by manipulating the architecture in the scenery. The game series has won multiple awards and accolades, and is one of the best Android games of all time.

The good news is that 2017’s Monument Valley 2 ⁠— which otherwise costs $4.99 on the Google Play Store ⁠— has now been made free.

There’s been no announcement from the developers as to why the game’s price is being slashed to zero. However, our best guess is that this is related to the ongoing coronavirus shutdowns that have forced people around the world to stay home.

If you haven’t played the first game that was released in 2014, worry not. The sequel is easy to pick up and will keep you engrossed with its stellar soundtrack and stunning visuals. 

The central characters are a mother and child duo. You’ll have to shift and manipulate the world around you to help them travel, complete the puzzles, and get to the next screen.

We’re not sure if Monument Valley 2 is discounted in all markets, but the mobile game is definitely available for free in the US, South Africa, and India right now. So we’d recommend you download it before the free deal expires.
