Mobvoi’s TicNote Watch is built for nonstop note-taking without a smartphone

Mobvoi, maker of the TicWatch, is back with a brand new smartwatch. The company has announced the launch of the TicNote Watch. However, this new digital timepiece is a little different from its previous offerings, as it’s designed with a specific audience in mind.

The TicNote Watch’s main purpose revolves around conversations. It’s built to be a note-taking companion, capable of capturing, transcribing, and summarizing conversations without a smartphone. The device also offers typical smartwatch features, but the focus is on AI-powered note-taking. As a result, the TicNote Watch’s key demographic is meeting-intensive professionals, such as journalists, healthcare providers, consultants, and so on.

The TicNote Watch features a dedicated record button. Pressing and holding this button will let you record a conversation. Recording works offline and supports in-person chats and two-way phone calls. A double press of this button will start an audio recording of up to 60 seconds, allowing you to capture random thoughts.

For recording, the smartwatch is fitted with two omnidirectional microphones that can capture voices from 3-5 meters away. Noise reduction ensures that voices are recorded cleanly. Mobvoi says that you’ll be able to continuously record for up to 24 hours on a single charge. And the device can store up to 200 hours of recordings locally.

After a conversation is finished, this smartwatch creates an AI-generated summary and mind map that you can review, search for, or share. If there’s a mention of something in your conversation that you don’t want to forget, there’s a feature that allows you to highlight key statements with a single tap. These highlights are automatically aggregated so you can see them right away after a meeting. The device also supports live text in up to 17 languages with an accuracy of 98% and under 1.5 seconds of latency.

Mobvoi has set the price tag for the TicNote Watch at $249. However, the company is currently running a limited-time deal that reduces the price to $199. The TicNote Watch is available for purchase at TicNote.ai and on Amazon.
