There’s more Android 6.0 Marshmallow update love heading to customers today, as the Motorola Moto G Turbo Edition has begun receiving an update in India today, according to a number of users. This builds on Motorola’s updates for the Moto X Style and Moto G (3rd gen) which have already landed in the country.

The over-the-air update appears with the version number v24.11.22 and comes in at a modest 445.5MB. Along with the Marshmallow goodies, such as Google Now on Tap, Doze battery optimization, and the introduction of a ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode for notifications, the update comes with December’s Android security fixes. This isn’t quite the most recent version of the security updates, but ensure that the handset is more secure than a lot of other Android devices out there.

On top of the core Android improvements, Motorola’s Marshmallow update includes the removal of the Moto Assist feature as it is no longer needed thanks to the DND settings, and there’s a new Moto Display to replace the Ambient Display feature.

The Moto G Turbo Edition only launched in India last month and comes with some reasonable hardware for its Rs 14,999 price tag. If you haven’t received an OTA notification and want to check for an update manually, head on over to settings -> about phone -> system update.
